PRESIDENT'S
MESSAGE
Looking back on 2011 ----
Exchanges --- we had the folks from
Piracicaba, Brazil here. Some of them were renewing old friendships and many were new friends. Having the agenda and special sites documents translated into Portuguese was appreciated by the ambassadors. We were pleased to have out long distance member, Bonnie Brown, from Northfield, Minnesota join us for a couple events. The exchange was a challenge because we had to make some last minute changes in the agenda which allowed us to attend “Five Guys Named Moe,” a musical revue that was enjoyed by all. Some of our members were busy with an ambassador that ended up in the hospital with a heart problem. She was grateful that they took good care of her until her family arrived from Brazil to take over. It is a good thing that it is the challenges that make an exchange memorable.
Membership --- What a sad year with the loss of four of our stalwart members. They will all be missed. Thankfully we are gaining some new members. Looking forward to getting to know them.

Come join an exchange to Alajuela,Costa Rica on April 20-27, 2012 with the Western Kentucky FF club. The cost of the exchange will be $425.00 exchange fees, plus airfare,and travel insurance per person. A deposit of $200.00 per ambassador is due no later than January 31st.
Please send me a check made out to Las Vegas FF and mailed to 9190 Golden Feather Court, Las Vegas, NV 89147.
At the present time, we have 14 people interested. We are allowed 10 ambassadors from our club, so first come, first served. Ten seats will be given first to the Western Kentucky club. Any seats they do not fill will be open to the Las Vegas club to fill up for a total of 20 people.
We are to fly into Juan Santamaria airport in Costa Rica, if you would like to check on airfare. Presently, I do not have the itinerary from the ED in Costa Rica, but will let you know what it is as soon as I receive it. The Costa Rica clubs are well-known for their great hospitality and beautiful country.
